“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

- WRONG!

My favorite hobby is riding vintage motorcycles. If I was to live by the above motto, I would find myself frequently on the side of the road, looking for problems after they happen. Instead, I often devote my garage time to the practice of preventative troubleshooting, looking for potential problems before they occur. This practice helps to limit my roadside repairs, while increasing the miles I spend riding.

I find this translates well into UX design, where staying on top of your product’s shortcomings, and listening to user feedback, helps to prevent these types of emergency shady-tree repairs.
